大灣區藝術展覽系列「水墨異重奏」首場展覽

新媒体作为探索空间艺术的媒介，将像素打乱并重新组合，成为新的艺术语言，并不断挑战以及冲击观众的视觉体验。

康樂及文化事務署（康文署）旗下的藝術推廣辦事處與深圳市前沿藝穗藝術中心聯合策劃的大灣區藝術展覽系列「水墨異重奏」，匯聚了九位來自香港及內地的藝術家，以水墨為主題創作。此次展覽將在深圳、廣州、佛山及東莞四個大灣區城市舉辦五場展覽，讓觀眾不僅領略水墨藝術的美，也感受到大灣區豐富多元的文化魅力。

The Art Promotion Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) in collaboration with the Shenzhen Frontier Art Center presents the Bay Area art exhibition series “Ink and Resonance,” featuring nine artists from Hong Kong and Mainland China who create works centered around ink art. The series will host five exhibitions in four cities of the Greater Bay Area—Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, and Dongguan—allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of ink art while experiencing the rich and diverse cultural charm of the Bay Area.

The first exhibition, “New Vitality,” will open the series in a joint exhibition format, held at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art (new building) from September 24 to November 6, with free admission.

本次展覽系列的主題「氣韻新動」靈感來源於南齊（479—502）畫家謝赫提出的「氣韻生動」理念。「氣韻」象徵著生命力與變化的張力。在粵文化語境中，「生動」與「新動」諧音，寓意著新的變化與發展。香港當代水墨藝術積極與大灣區的文化進行對話，不僅豐富了水墨的新表現形式，也推動了灣區城市之間的新動態關係與生命力。通過此次展覽，我們期待為觀眾呈現一場視覺盛宴，讓大家在欣賞水墨藝術之美的同時，感受到大灣區的文化魅力。

The theme of this exhibition series, “New Vitality,” is inspired by the concept of “Qi Yun Sheng Dong” (the vitality of spirit) proposed by the Southern Qi (479–502) painter Xie He in his “Six Principles” of painting. Here, “Qi Yun” represents a life force and tension of change. Additionally, in the context of Cantonese culture, “Sheng Dong” (vitality) is a homophone for “New Movement,” symbolizing new changes and developments. Hong Kong’s contemporary ink art actively engages in dialogue with the contemporary art and culture of the Bay Area, enriching new expressive forms of ink art and promoting new dynamic relationships and vitality among the Bay Area cities. Through this exhibition, we hope to present a visual feast for the audience, allowing everyone to appreciate the beauty of ink art while experiencing the cultural richness of the Bay Area.

在歷史的長河中，水墨藝術以其獨特的韻味與氣魄，承載著東方文化的精髓與智慧。隨著時代的發展，傳統水墨繪畫也在不斷革新。二十世紀六七十年代，香港發起的新水墨運動，強調在傳統基礎上實現「和而不同」的個人表達，孕育了眾多現代水墨大師，成為亞洲藝術的重要力量。新一代藝術家承接這一革新精神，將現代城市生活元素融入創作，注重概念與創新，使香港的水墨藝術在東方文化中獨樹一幟，並為香港與其他灣區城市的水墨藝術交流開辟了廣闊的未來空間。

Throughout history, ink art has uniquely carried the essence and wisdom of Eastern culture with its charm and spirit. With the advancement of time, traditional ink painting has begun to undergo innovative attempts. In the 1960s and 70s, Hong Kong initiated the new ink movement, where artists emphasized personal expression on the foundation of tradition, fostering numerous modern ink masters and becoming an important force in Asian art. The new generation of artists inherits this spirit of innovation, widely integrating elements of modern urban life into their creations, focusing on concepts and innovation. This has allowed Hong Kong’s ink art to become a unique representation of Eastern culture, paving the way for broader exchanges of ink art between Hong Kong and other cities in the Bay Area.
