New Media Art Serie

这是曹雨西工作室2019年起步的当代视觉艺术计划，其项目核心围绕新时代电子数据图像符号（例如二维码、条形码）内容为传达形式媒介的再次进行声音影像作品的创作，进一步重新审视新时代的由二维码、二进制、大数据为代表的科技化视觉艺术语言体系。作品的声音均采样来自智能数字设备的各类提示音效（如手机app提示音或音乐），通过艺术家的音乐重组和节奏编排。

This is a contemporary visual art project launched by Cao Yuxi Studio in 2019. The core of the project revolves around the new era of electronic data image symbols (such as QR codes, barcodes) and the content of new audio and video works to convey formal creativity, and further re-create new collaborations. The technological visual art language system of the era represented by QR codes, binary and big data. The sounds of the works are all sampled from popular prompt sound effects from smart digital devices (such as mobile app prompts or music), and are reorganized and rhythmically arranged through the artist’s music.

亞洲數字藝術展中展出的作品《多維采樣_#1》是一個方盒子投影空間，到同年的12月份在深圳市民中心城市燈光秀展出的時候，媒介變成了每棟大樓的立面。在不同載體和形式的變化下，如何把一款作品最好的呈現，每一次的轉換都需要我們因地製宜的對作品和擺放進行整理和設計。

未來的作品中除了酷炫，大家看完不明覺厲以外，我希望再加入一些關於因為科技而引發的一些社會思考，比如說現在都在聊的關於社交媒體如何改變我們的經濟形態，關於移動消費的邏輯，關於直播帶貨，關於什麽叫流量，關於整個中國社會和新媒體經濟發生關系之後的形態上的變化。

The work “Multidimensional Sampling_#1” exhibited at the Asian Digital Art Exhibition was a square box projection space. When it was displayed at the Shenzhen Civic Center City Light Show in December of the same year, the medium became the facade of each building. Under the changes of different carriers and forms, how to best present a work, each change requires us to organize and design the works and placement according to local conditions.

In addition to being cool and cool, I hope to add some social thinking caused by technology in future works, such as how social media changes our economic form, and mobile The logic of consumption, about live streaming, about what traffic is, about the morphological changes after the relationship between the entire Chinese society and the new media economy.

△ 2019｜深港城市建筑双城双年展（深圳）灯光表演

新媒体艺术家曹雨西利用新媒体大数据算法生成手段，根据音乐的频谱变化，借助建筑体的结构风格，生成了一套炫酷的动态建筑机理，观众可以使用手机扫描广场屏幕上的二维码从而实现真正的交互功能。作为本次深圳灯光表演的闭幕之作，曹雨西的作品进一步延展了城市建筑空间与市民互动对话的路径，亦为下一次深圳灯光表演的创作思路做出了有益的尝试和铺垫。

New media artist Cao Yuxi uses new media big data algorithm generation methods to generate a set of cool dynamic architectural mechanisms based on the spectrum changes of music and the structural style of the building. The audience can use their mobile phones to scan the QR code on the screen of the square to Achieve true interactive functions. As the closing work of this Shenzhen light show, Cao Yuxi’s work further extends the path of interactive dialogue between urban architectural space and citizens, and also makes a useful attempt and pavement for the creative ideas of the next Shenzhen light show.

現在社會，掃碼的行為遍布每一個角落，我們想用一個具有娛樂性的，好玩兒的形式，運用酷炫的手法把它表現出來。讓大家在參與的過程當中，享受這個邏輯之後，開始反思這個行為。為什麽叫多維采樣呢，因為我們從多個維度采集了關於手機的樣本，包括視覺，聽覺等內容。這個作品分為不同的章節，有表演也有裝置，具有觀賞和互動性。

In today’s society, the behavior of scanning codes is everywhere in every corner. We want to use an entertaining and fun form to express it in a cool way. Let everyone start to reflect on this behavior after enjoying the logic during the participation process. Why is it called multi-dimensional sampling? Because we collect samples about mobile phones from multiple dimensions, including visual, auditory and other content. This work is divided into different chapters, including performances and installations, and is both ornamental and interactive.
